Mitsubishi Motor Company
(MMC) Japan announces want to re-enliven the arena of the world rally
championship (World Rallying Championship). Since 2005, the car bearing the
three diamonds resign as factory team, but individual participants or clubs
that still exist in various driving Mitsubishi rally championship, both
nationally and internationally.
Kala back up, the MMC has
confirmed they will definitely come back again. But this announcement sooner
than previously planned. The competition is targeted in the near future, the
WRC championship in their own country (Japan) or displayed in several national
rally in the land of rising sun.
One of the motivating
thrusting Mitsubishi rally cars to Japan, want to test, in addition to the
vehicle are also several components. While waiting for approval from the FIA (Federation Internationale de L'Automobile).
The vehicle that has been
registered to the FIA, Lancer Evolution (Evo) X version highway (course car).
And are expected to come this summer is out endorsement (homologation).
Although still waiting, in some national rally in Japan, the Evo X has been
deployed as a double zero (OO) and zero (O) or the opening roads.
Although as a pacesetter,
but provisioning has been like following the rally. Includes several new
technologies have been used. Like a roll cage that is fused with an intensive
strengthening.
RalliArt which has been a
partner to build a rally car Mitsubishi asked to make several components. Like
of which gear the transmission, brakes and close ratio. Being assigned to
create a protective exterior bottom (floor guard) engine and tank, sump guard
and mudguard. Including the driver's seat and the co-driver with five-point
seatbelts.
Do Lancer Evo X will be a
success? I think I can do this over crowded competition between Citroen, Ford
and Subaru. Because Mitsubishi has been a spectacular achievement, the rally
driver Tommi Makinen leads (Finland) won the world championship four times in a
row (1996-1999) with Lancer Evo Evo III and IV. When replace the car with the
Evo VI, not as bright as the previous generation achievement and Tommi kelanjur
retreat.
In Indonesia, when it
hosted the world championships (1996 and 1997), most of the national racer
driving a Mitsubishi. Now also, like Subhan Aksa, Rizal Sungkar and Akbar
Hadianto still loyal behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi.
